A TV and internet ad featured a man walking down a street and dancing whilst wearing denim shorts and high heeled shoes.  We received complaints that the ad was offensive.  Many complainants thought this was due to the man’s clothing and dance moves and because they believed the content was overtly sexual.  While acknowledging that some viewers might have found the ad distasteful, we did not judge the ad to be offensive and in breach of the Code.
The Paddy power advert is controversial because viewers thought they were promoting animal cruelty. It shows a blind football team kicking a cat wth a bell on instead of the ball.
It had 450 complaints. They said the ad was harmful as it might encourage cruelty to animals and that is was offensive to blind people. Model can't look visually ill too fat/thin etc

Gaining TA feedback

- Focus groups
- Online survey

Focus group of other students in college ask them whether they like the product, so we will ask them to come at a certain time and set out the bag to see if they like or dislike the bag. Its important to get feedback from our target audience because we need to know that they would buy the product.

We will do a survey on survey monkey to get feedback without handing out paper questionnaires as they could get lost or might not end up doing.
